Although I’m trained and very well-versed in traditional therapeutic techniques, a cancer diagnosis on the heels of an accident and resulting brain injury prompted me to explore alternative healing modalities. Based on my experience and success with these techniques, I’ve expanded my practice to include holisticmethods that compliment traditional therapy.
I have completed the Spring Forest Qigong studies under the founder, Master Chunyi Lin. In addition, I’ve studied intuitive and spiritual studies at Sancta Sophia Se
minary in Tahlequah, OK.
I strongly believe (and many studies show) that animals can help heal. I have trained and registered my former dog, Cleo, through both Therapy DogsInternational and Delta
Society. I also have Gobo, a 7-year-old Wheaten Terrier, who works with me as a therapy dog and is a favorite amongst my clients. Although my two goats, Leo and Orion, aren’t able to join me in the office, they are excellent therapy animals who are curious, friendly, and love people.
In addition to running and maintaining my private practice in Maplewood, I present to general audiences on topics ranging from intuitive development to the use of creativity to promote emotional growth and healing. Please contact me for more information about my speaking topics.
About My Practice
Health and Medicine, Re-defined
Put simply: I approach healing differently.
Rather than the traditional approach of the expert having all of the power and offering a solution without taking into account the thoughts and knowledge of the patient, I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. I believe that the best solutions come when the client and therapist work together.
My own experience of following my instincts to a rural farm surrounded by nature and the companionship of animals solidified the healing power that being connected to nature and our inner selves can have. This profound realization led to the development of Goat Academy.
